He holds a Diploma in Public Relations from Newport University, a BA from Vista University and master’s in city & Regional Planning from the University of Free State.
He was previously the head of Planning at Mangaung Municipality.
He has extensive knowledge of Town and Regional Planning and is involved in various projects in Bloemfontein with decades of experience.
He is also an external examiner at the University of the Free State.

He registered as a Professional Valuer (reg. 4980) and holds a National Diploma in Real Estate: Property Valuations from UNISA.
He has extensive valuation experience in liquidation, agricultural, developments, mass, industrial, commercial, specialized as well as equipment and livestock.
His areas of specialization include the valuation and negotiation of land or servitudes required for establishing road, water or electrical infrastructure.
Johan graduated with a B.Econ degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 1991. He has also completed a Certificate in the Essentials of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and is currently furthering his qualifications through a National Diploma in Real Estate : Property Valuation.
He is a registered Candidate Valuer (Registration No. 7049) and brings nearly two decades of banking experience gained through his employment with major financial institutions. This background has provided him with extensive expertise in property finance, risk assessment, and valuation practices.
Johan specialises in the valuation of commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential, and sectional title properties. His expertise also extends to servitudes, expropriation matters, vehicles and equipment, liquidation valuations, and commercial farming enterprises.
Holds a B. Iuris degree from the University of the Free State as well as a National Diploma in Real Estate: Property Valuations.
He is a registered Professional Valuer (reg. 5396).
